Wedding timeline: where couple portraits fit without stress.

From my photo archive.

Couple portraits need a little protected time — not a disappearing act. In the timeline we look for a window that feels fair to you and your guests.

Often that window sits after congratulations or before the evening really begins.

Protect a short, clearly communicated window for the two of you — then return to your people without hurry.

After the ceremony.

Emotions are high and light is often good. Guests can toast while you take ten to twenty minutes nearby.

Tell someone responsible where you are and when you’ll return.

Before dinner.

If speeches start early, portraits beforehand keep you present for them.

We keep the route short so you’re not chasing golden hour across the region.

Golden hour — only if it fits.

Evening light is beautiful and not mandatory. If your party needs you, we stay. If there’s a natural pause, we use it.

  • Write the couple window into the timeline.
  • Choose a nearby place, not a distant drive.
  • Brief one person who keeps guests informed.
